Our Vision
Our vision at Celebrating Filipino Heritage in Canada
is to empower individuals of all ages to deepen the connection between identity and Filipino culture in a global setting.
Through meaningful stories, critical thinking, artful experiences, inspiring products, and innovative entrepreneurship, we will ultimately present the Filipino culture in contemporary Canada- robust, vibrant, and forward-thinking.
The Inspiration
On October 30, 2018, the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada declared June of each year as Filipino Heritage Month throughout Canada with a unanimous vote of 290 in favor and none against. Motion 155, authored by MP Salma Zahid of Scarborough Centre, emphasizes the vital contributions made by Filipino-Canadians to Canadian society. It also highlights the richness of the Filipino language and culture and stresses the importance of recognizing and reflecting upon Filipino heritage for future generations.
Our Attendees
The National Filipino Heritage: Canada (NFHC) is organizing an event in June 2024 to celebrate the best of Filipino culture, character, and values. The event provides a cultural platform that brings together people from diverse backgrounds and industries to celebrate Filipino heritage in Canada. We believe that the attendees are the heart and soul of the event, and we strive to make their experience unforgettable.
